Founded in 2008, Aqua Rosa has seen other makeup course providers come and go, but our belief that proper training, providing accredited, Internationally recognised industry qualifications has stood us in good stead.
Our tutors have worked across tv and film over a combined total of more than 40 years – they have the experience to develop students and the knowledge to prepare them for industry.
We know how important it is to have continuity throughout your course, so you will have a core team of qualified tutors teaching your course. But media is a fast-changing industry, so Aqua Rosa brings in working industry-specialists to provide you with added insight into their work, helping you to build your contacts and get a foot in the door.
Suzie founded the school in 2008 and as an industry expert, is a consultant for governing body VTCT – acting as a technical advisor to develop new courses for students internationally.
Having worked across film, tv and fashion for more than 20 years, Suzie is a respected judge of international make up competitions and set up Aqua Rosa as a school of excellence to ensure that standards in the make up industry stay high.
Tori has worked in the film and television industry as a Hair and Make-up
Artist/Designer for over 16 years. Working in high end T.V, her credits range from BAFTA nominated period dramas to RTS Award winning contemporary programmes.
These include Spooks, The Mark of Cain, Scott and Bailey, League of Gentlemen and more recently The Syndicate 4 (due to be aired next year) to
Victoria, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and Dracula, for which she has been Emmy nominated by Netflix.
Still working within the industry means students are provided with the most current and up to date media training needed for the career they wish to pursue. Tori is extremely passionate about teaching and passing on her wealth of knowledge to future make-up artists.
Jo Sweeting is an established make up artist and designer who has collaborated with artists in film, theatre and TV for many years. A professional in both hair and make up, wigs and facial hair, Jo’s specialisms allow her to work across all genres and periods.
Jo has worked with some of the best in the industry. As an artist working on Black Mirror, Afterlife and Bancroft, she has counted David Tenant, Laura Fraser, Jennifer Saunders, Helen McRory, Karen Gillan and Robbie Coltrane amongst her clients.
